The set and costume design for The Blue Fox (Zilā lapsa) was developed as a fully immersive visual world inspired by anime aesthetics, but translated into a physical stage environment.
Rather than referencing anime literally, I focused on its emotional logic — intensity, fragmentation, shifting scale, and the fluid boundary between inner and outer reality.
The scenography is built as a landscape of memory, where space behaves like emotion: it expands, collapses, and transforms depending on the protagonist’s psychological state.
Costumes function as narrative extensions of character rather than illustration, balancing symbolic clarity with theatrical presence.
The goal was to create a world that feels both fantastical and grounded — a space where imagination is not escape, but a way of processing loss, desire, and transformation.
